If you went by train on Sunday, you'd probably have seen a lot of people with the same book. If you brought "de verrekijker" with you, you were allowed to travel for free. It's quite a good book, actually. I enjoyed reading it, because Kees van Kooten has a clear point of view on everything, which is interesting to read. I totally agree with him when he says that e-readers should be double-screened, so you can read what the person in front of you is reading. That will lead to interesting conversations!
Because it was free, me and my dad went to the beach in Hoek van Holland. There was a lot of wind, a lot. But it was lovely! It wasn't even that cold.
Last Saturday I went to a cabaret show with my dad and brother. In this show Fay Lovsky and Laurens Joensen play a few of their own songs together. They are accompanied by Jet Stevens on bass.
It's a very nice show and I definitely recommend it! The songs aren't only funny, they also have good lyrics and there are a lot of different instruments used.
After the show I bought a CD from Laurens Joensen and asked for an autograph.
I also spoke to Fay Lovsky, who said "that it is important to not take yourself to serious,".
Do you know that feeling when you're really, really tired?
I'm pretty sure that some God said this morning: let's just try to drive everyone up the wall today.
But it's weekend and right now I'm in love with Friday.
I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's gray and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Oh, Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday I'm in love
Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday, never hesitate...
I don't care if Mondays black
Tuesday, Wednesday - heart attack
Thursday, never looking back
It's Friday, I'm in love
Monday, you can hold your head
Tuesday, Wednesday stay in bed
Or Thursday - watch the walls instead
It's Friday, I'm in love
Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday, never hesitate...
Dressed up to the eyes
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a sheik
Spinning round and round
Always take a big bite
It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
You can never get enough
Enough of this stuff
It's Friday, I'm in love
It's not really my thing, I didn't expect it from Anouk either, to be honest, but it has a nice lyrics. Of course I hope we'll get a few points, but I'm not sure.
What do you think? Leave your comments behind.
Anouk thinks it's a nice song and says: "Off course there will be people who don't like it, but I'm prepared for that. That always happens when new songs come out. Half of the people think it's fantastic and the other part hates it. So be it."
Paul de Leeuw says on Twitter: "Beautiful , Anouk!! Beautiful!! Shall I say it one more time? FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!"
Linda Wagenmakers tweet: "Just heard #Birds from @Anouk.What a great song, it sounds like music of a Steven Spielberg movie! Love love love!!"
Bon Jovi says that he finds it difficult to predict hits.
Despite going strong since the 1980s, the 51-year-old admits it’s hard
to tell whether a new track will go down well with fans or not.
"It's tough! I remember playing songs for family members and they go, 'It's
great,' and then it's rubbish or they say it's rubbish and it's great.
So at the end of the day, you've gotta go with your own gut. I don't
spend too much time asking anybody anymore," he confessed to Australian
radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O.
“I think that in this last decade I’ve found a great appreciation for
what I’ve done musically and we’ve kept very busy in that last decade.
I’m not actively pursuing any acting any longer.”
"I've been wrong more than I've been right. Fortunately I have had
enough things go right. It's just quantity at the end of the day; you
keep swinging, you get a home run!'
When asked if a rock band could change
things politically, he said: ''I think nowadays probably more so. We do a
song like 'Uprising' and a year later there's news about
global uprisings everywhere.
''There's no connection obviously, but it's happening. Whether it's directly caused by music or not remains to be seen.''
Nowadays, a lot of people are wearing band-shirts without even knowing it's a band-shirt. That's why Tessel has started making video's that show how to make your own shirt, to make people aware it's not a brand.

"Playing the same songs over and over again is like having the same dinner every night"
This is what Ronnie Vanucci, drummer from the Killers, said.
They're going to make a new album. I'm looking forward to hearing some of their new songs!
